"GRADE A ! HAS A SWEETNESS ALL ITS OWN, RICH IN CHILDLIKE GLEE &SUPRISE, DIDN'T WANT IT TO END..."
(Review Journal, full review here)

Now in its third year, Insurgo’s original tragicomic clown Nutcracker takes the stage at The Plaza Hotel and Casino for a limited engagement. Inspired by the Christmas classic, the production is crafted each year by Insurgo’s actors, clowns, dancers and designers into a dreamlike narrative that explores the landscapes of hope and loss, beauty and need. The result is a “phantasmagoria of understated sweetness and precision” (City Life) , a “festive holiday clown show for the whole family that is a must see for local theatre fans”. (Flavorpill)

In its first year in Henderson, Insurgo wowed hundreds of spectators with a story about transference and true love. Last year we brought the Nutcracker home to the Bastard Theater in a magic-fired personal tale about the battle without and within.

This years production takes our exploration to untouched lands with all-new characters. The show features dancer-actress Michelle Meyer, actress and vocalist Melanie Ash and actor Brandon Oliver Jones as the Nutcracker. It is directed by John Beane and assistant-directed by Daneal Doerr.

Running time is approximately 40 minutes.
The show is appropriate for the whole family.
Parking is free.

Tickets are $15 plus tax and fees.
Sponsored tickets for families in need are available by contacting insurgoboxoffice@gmail.com.
In addition, Insurgo is sponsoring a Christmas drive for the Sherman Gardens Annex. Patrons can defer up to half of their ticket price by bringing similarly priced new toys for donation to the Annex’s underprivileged kids.

The Insurgo Theater is located on the 3rd floor of the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Downtown Las Vegas. Number 1 Main St.
